Lauren Brooks Donovan is a painter based in Portland, ME. She received her BFA from the College of Fine Arts at Boston University and her MFA from Maine College of Art & Design.

Born and raised in Northampton, Massachusetts, a city the Los Angeles Times once called “a haven for women” and the National Enquirer deemed “a strange town where men aren’t wanted,” she is endlessly grappling with the experience of womanhood through her paintings.
